CHIPPEWA FALLS (Special) Alphonse Hunz CHIPPEWA FALLS (Special) Former Chippewa Falls area resident Alphonse Hunz, 70, Prairie du 1 Chien, died Wednesday of injuries received in a two car accident. Funeral services and committal rites were conducted Friday at Prairie du Chien. He was born in the Town of Tilden and worked as an inventor.

He was credited with perfecting the bumper jack used in cars. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; two brothers, Herman, Eau Claire, and Leon, Dolton, three sisters, Miss I da and Miss Caroline Hunz, St. Paul, and Mrs. Ed Phelan, also of St. Paul.

Paul, Minn. Mrs. Pearson died Saturday in Sacred Heart Hospital here. She had been residing with a sister, Mrs. Oscar Bain, 804 Starr Ave.

here for the past eight months. Before that she had lived for many years with two daughters in California. Mrs. Pearson was born in Eau Claire, moved to Crookston, Minn. in 1913 and lived in Minneapolis for 14 years, until 1932, when she moved to California.

She was active in the Hollywood diner club and in Church of Religious Science. Survivors, in addition to her sister Mrs. Bain, include two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bartel, Tujunga, Calif. and Mrs.

Bryant Hammell, West Covina, another sister, Mrs. Van Searle, Seattle, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at the funeral home from after 4 p.m. Monday until time of services Tuesday. Mrs.
