I just finished the latest Mystery Case Files Last Resort. It was pretty good. Not a long game. Not too many HOs. Some of the puzzles were challenging, so I enjoyed it.

Thanks for that, JK! I've been toying with getting this one, but hesitated as I've been quite disappointed with the last couple of MCF games.

Ready for some lazy time.

I know you're always tempted by the MCF games, Drac. So I decided to post my thoughts. I found the HOs challenging in this game as well. They definitely weren't run of the mill.

I like to play Escape games for passing the time. I found a good iPad one, and it is free, as long as you don't mind watching an ad before the next game. This game is also packed full of good puzzles. There are at least 3 levels, with 50 'escapes' in each. My only grumble would be some hot spots are easy to miss.
I've posted a picture of the app to download, since so many games have similar titles.

I like room escapes too. My current favorites are Tiny Room Mysteries and the Apartment Bacon series. Sad for me, I have played them all. I’ll check out the 50 rooms, although you’re right that there are many similar titles and most not very interesting.

I have been playing a freebie game I downloaded from Steam called Tricky Doors. It's made by 5BN games, the developers that did the Lost Lands series. There are basically 20 worlds from which you have to escape. There are no hidden object scenes but lots of puzzles, some of which are quite challenging. Some of the "hot spots" are small and easily missed, so I've actually had to peek at a walkthrough in a couple of the chapters. Overall, it's an enjoyable, relaxing game that can be played at your own pace. And...as I said. It's free!
